ARTICULATION

Throughout Year 3, you have shown such incredible articulation in every way. You are able to explain complex ideas with clarity and confidence and in relatable language. This concise way of communicating has meant that your peers have been able to understand even the most difficult of new ideas. The class look up to you as a role model for language use and try to copy your well-articulated ideas in their own way. In writing, your ability to choose and use a range of unusual vocabulary and employ it to have an effect on the reader has been truly astounding at times. Here is an incredible example from a grammar warm up, ‘In amazement, the colossal procession thundered through the town with occasional cries of, “The Iron Monster!” You are beginning to sound like a real author! In Maths, you confidently explain your reasoning using precise vocabulary with clarity and I have been so impressed with your tenacity and resilience to solve even the trickiest of challenges. I am so proud of you and I am really excited to see where your learning takes you as you move through the school.

CONFIDENCE

You are so deserving of the award for Confidence as we have been absolutely blown away by the positive change we have seen in you recently. You have always been a quiet presence in school; hardworking and so very bright. Recently it has been such a pleasure to see you coming out of your shell, sharing your talents, showing your vast abilities and letting your personality shine. From your loud, clear (and very sassy!) portrayal of Tallulah in your audition for Bugsy Malone; to using your voice to assert your point of view to resolve conflict amongst your peers; it has been noticed by all staff in school that you are becoming a strong young woman who can hold your own. Your confidence is developing beautifully- it is quiet, unassuming and modest; and we are certain it will enable you to shine in all your future endeavours.

FORGIVENESS

This half-term you have chosen kindness when it mattered most. You let go of hurt and chose to forgive instead and showed everyone how big a five-year-old heart can be. Whenever you are upset by the actions of others you always display your positivity and see the best in people. Your gentle spirit and brave heart make the world a better place. We are so proud of you! Well done

GENEROSITY

You are more than deserving of this award for being incredibly generous every day. You go above and beyond to help those around you, putting their needs before your own and making commitments beyond your years. You are such an amazing friend and always help anybody and everybody that you can no matter what the situation. No task is ever too much for you and you love to help with such passion and desire. You have also been a massive help and contributed to the set up of every forest school session this year and shown how dedicated you are to doing something so well and efficiently.  You also have an infectious smile that is evident from the minute that you enter the classroom, to the moment that you leave each day. You also provide so many other traits each day such as: kindness, loyalty and joy. All these combined together make you the incredible and generous young person you are. Keep being that amazing, generous person and making the huge difference that you do every day.

HAPPINESS

Happiness is what you feel when you're playing with friends, getting a hug, or learning something exciting. Happiness can also come from being kind and helping others. It's a warm, joyful feeling that makes your heart feel light and your face light up with a smile. You have brought this feeling into our classroom this term. You have really enjoyed our most recent topics of transport and the Great Fire of London. You have joined in with enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn which is wonderful to see. You have taken your family to visit the monument to the fire and told the class all about the visit and the buses he saw on the trip. You have been sharing your learning with others and trying hard at each and every task. But what makes you especially inspiring is the way you work hard to cope with change. Even when things feel uncertain or different, you face each new day with courage and a positive attitude. We love the person you are and we hope you continue to enjoy our new learning!

INDIVIDUALITY

You are such a valued member of our school family as the unique qualities you possess make you such a pleasure to teach and befriend. When first meeting you, you can appear quiet and shy. However…WE have the privilege of knowing you with your fantastic sense of humour and how unapologetically ‘yourself’ you are. Just one example of this is how when given the option of wearing your own clothes for the Year 6 SATs party, you chose to wear a croissant t-shirt and a big moustache, because - why ever not?! You also blew us away with your audition for Bugsy Malone, showing an unassuming confidence and putting your own comical spin on the characters! We love you for being you. Never lose your individuality and continue to let your light shine!

INTEGRITY

You are a polite, kind, and caring pupil whose actions reflect a strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. You show keen understanding of what it means to be a true role model in our school, and it is clear to see that you live out the value of integrity every single day. A wonderful example of your integrity is your approach to learning. You very consistently demonstrate hard work, honesty, and an outstanding attitude in class, even when tasks can be challenging. You always give your best effort in everything you do and it is clear that you do this not just for praise or reward, but because you KNOW that it’s the right thing to do—and that’s what integrity is all about. You also show such a great level of respect for all members of staff, greeting us each day with genuine politeness and a beaming smile. Also, you always remember to thank me at the end of every single day, without fail—a small but powerful reflection of your character. We are incredibly proud of the example you set for others every single day. Thank you for being a beacon of integrity in our school. Congratulations on this well-deserved award!

JOY

You have received this award for lighting up every room with your joy. Your laughter is contagious. Your smile spreads happiness and your cheerful heart brings sunshine to everyone around you. You have come such a long way since the beginning of Reception class and we are so proud of how much you have come out of your shell. Thank you for reminding us that joy is a gift to be shared! Keep shining — the world is brighter because of you.

JUSTICE

This half term we are incredibly proud of you, who have shown us all the true meaning of justice. At just 7 years old, you have shown bravery, fairness, and a strong sense of right and wrong, something many grown-ups still find difficult to do. In a tricky situation, you stood up for yourself with kindness and confidence, showing courage when it would have been easier to stay quiet. You chose what was right, even when it was hard. Your sense of justice shone brightly, not just in the way you stood tall for yourself, but in the way you cared about others and made sure everyone was treated kindly and fairly. Thank you for being you, a true example of what it means to be just and good. The world needs more hearts like yours.

KINDNESS

You are a true example of kindness and compassion. You have a heart full of care and a spirit that shines brightly for everyone around you. One of the many ways you show your kindness is by helping your friends when they’re in need. Whether it’s comforting someone who’s feeling sad or taking the time to help a friend find a missing toy or jacket, you always go out of your way to lend a hand. Your thoughtfulness doesn’t stop there—you listen patiently, offer encouragement, and ensure that no one feels left behind. You are caring and kind towards the reception children too. You play with them at playtime and have been very responsible in helping to look after them when we started having playtimes on the field. You remind us that kindness isn't just about big gestures, but about being there for others in the little moments. For your caring nature, your helpfulness, and the way you look out for your friends, we are proud to honour you with this special award for kindness.

RESILIENCE

I am so proud of the way that you have so admirably exemplified our school value of resilience for the past few months at a very difficult time for you and your family. Through thick and thin, on good days and bad, you have always demonstrated an exemplary, 'I can do this,' attitude towards everything you do in school, whether this be classwork, being ready to learn or being a great friend.  Whenever you find something difficult, you always work extremely hard to make sure that you achieve your goals and make amazing progress. This is even the case after having some time away from school to visit your sister in hospital. The speed at which you were able to catch up with some very complicated Maths is a tribute to your diligent nature and unwavering determination to complete a task. We are so proud of your superb attitude even when things are difficult for you. Well done, you truly deserve this award.

You are always ready to help – whether it’s organising the classroom, reminding others to follow the rules, or making sure everything is just right. You work hard every day to make your class the best it can be, and your teachers and friends have noticed! Your kindness, responsibility and commitment to doing the right thing make you a wonderful role model. You also made a wonderful captain at the Year 2 football tournament and represented our school tremendously. Thank you for your amazing service and for always giving your best.
