ARTICULATION

The award for articulation goes to you as you are such a grown-up communicator when talking to adults or friends and use excellent sentence structures in your work. You use brilliant and adventurous vocabulary in your writing, and you are always eager to learn even better words to make your work shine. During a discussion in science about what plants need to grow well, one of the children introduced the word "nutrients". After a short chat about what we thought it could mean, you confidently used it in your writing. We are amazed at how quickly you apply new scientific vocabulary. You explain your ideas clearly when talking with your friends, and you help others by contributing to our class word-banks so everyone can use great vocabulary. You’re also excellent at describing what has happened in a lesson or activity and linking it to what we learned before. Well done for being such a thoughtful, curious, and expressive communicator!

CONFIDENCE

You are growing in confidence each and every day, and it is truly wonderful to see. You show us in everything you do just how much you love school and love to learn. Your passion and commitment shine brightly through your work, and your enthusiasm inspires those around you. Every single day, you show us what it means to be confident in who you are. From the moment you step into the classroom, you bring a smile, a spring in your step, and a genuine excitement for learning. You remind us all of the power of being true to yourself and the impact this can have on others. You are also such a kind and thoughtful friend. You always know how to lift people’s spirits when they need it most. Confidence doesn’t always mean being loud or “singing from the rooftops” sometimes it is shown through quiet strength, respect, and integrity. Your confidence is expressed in your kindness, your positivity, and the caring way you treat others. Well done on this award. Keep growing in confidence, and keep being the amazing you each and every day.

FORGIVENESS

You are a shining example of what it truly means to forgive, forget, and move on. You are such a good friend to others, and when things go wrong, you deal with it in a calm and thoughtful way. You are always ready to smooth things over, say sorry when you need to, and forgive others with kindness. We are really impressed with your mature attitude. Even when friendship worries have upset you or made coming into school a little tricky recently, you have shown amazing resilience. You keep trying, you talk things through and you always find a way to play happily with everyone in the class again. You show everyone what a kind, caring and forgiving friend looks like. We are so proud of you.

GENEROSITY

She has shown a fantastic example of our school value of generosity. She made the thoughtful decision to donate £10 of her own money to help buy new toys for the playground. Because of her kindness, lots of children will be able to enjoy new games, share with their friends, and have even more fun during playtime. What makes her actions especially wonderful is that she chose to give something that belonged to her to help others. She thought carefully about how she could make a difference, and her generous choice will bring smiles to many faces every single day. She has been a brilliant role model, showing us all how even a small act of kindness can make a big impact. We are incredibly proud of her caring attitude and the way she helps make our school a happy and welcoming place for everyone.

Even when the work gets tricky, you keep going with a cheerful grin that brightens everyone’s day. You make us all laugh with your wonderful stories about the fun adventures you have with your sister. Grown-ups around the school often stop to say how much they enjoy your funny little anecdotes too! Your attitude to learning shines with joy. Everything you do is done with a smile and a laugh, and your infectious giggle is never far away. You spread happiness wherever you go and our class is a better place because of you. INDIVIDUALITY

It has been wonderful to see you showing your personality so proudly in class this year. When you read your writing aloud, you do it with such enthusiasm and expression, and it’s amazing to see your confidence growing every single week. You make your stories come alive, and we love hearing them! You especially shine when you are performing. You always bring a fun, comical twist to your roles that makes everyone smile. This really stood out during our class‑led worship in church, when you eagerly put yourself forward to be part of our drama about integrity and the solar system. You performed with such energy and joy, and it made the whole moment extra special. We are so proud of how you are letting your light shine. You bring happiness to your friendships, our classroom, and our whole school simply by being yourself. We can’t wait to see how your individuality will help you continue to excel in performing as you move through your primary journey. Keep shining brightly - you are one of a kind!

You are a wonderful example of our school value of Integrity. Every single day, you choose to do the right thing, even when others around you might be finding that difficult. You show such honesty, responsibility and care in everything you do and that makes you someone everyone can trust. Your attitude to learning is brilliant. You arrive each day ready to try your very best: we love to joke about your determination to finish the morning work first but this just demonstrates your determination to aim high and to be a kind friend to the people around you. Whether you’re tackling tricky work or helping someone else, you always stay true to your values. Your behaviour is consistently excellent, and your lovely manners shine through wherever you go. You are polite, thoughtful and always leading by example. Thank you for showing us all what integrity really looks like.

JOY

He has settled beautifully into school life with a calm and happy nature. He brings so much joy to our classroom, always smiling and sharing his giggles with others. When it is his turn to read, he is full of excitement and gallops over, and always tries his very best. He has started to build some lovely friendships and plays so happily with others, enjoying games where he and his friends make each other jump. Although he is a quieter member of the class, we regularly hear him giggling with friends and adults alike. You are a little ray of sunshine in our class. Keep smiling and doing your best, the world needs some more happiness and joy.

JUSTICE

This half term, she has truly shown the value of Justice. She is always trying to do the right thing and make fair choices, even when it can be tricky. She is always happy to help and often asks if there are any jobs she can do. She is kind and thoughtful, especially when her friends are feeling upset. She takes the time to listen, help them feel better and tries to sort out friendship problems in a calm and fair way. She also shows great courage when she notices something isn’t right. She helps others make better choices by kindly reminding them or by letting a teacher know. This helps keep our classroom a happy, safe and fair place for everyone. You are a wonderful role model and a true Justice Champion. We are so proud of the kind, fair, and helpful choices you make every day. Keep being you!

RESILIENCE

You have earnt the award for resilience for showing incredible resilience in the classroom! You have grown so much this year. You used to lack confidence and sometimes found it hard to get started on tasks that seemed too tricky, but you were determined to make everyone proud. With your brilliant attitude and growth mindset, you now tackle challenges with confidence and a smile. One brilliant example of this is when you found place value really hard at first. Instead of giving up, you kept practising, kept asking questions, and kept trying your best. Because of your determination, you understood it and then even helped a friend understand it too! You have become a great role model, showing others what good learning behaviours look like. You encourage your classmates, help them build their own resilience, and show everyone that trying your best is what really matters. We are very proud of your determination, confidence, and fantastic attitude to learning. Well done!

SERVICE

Some people step into roles and simply do them; others understand what those roles actually mean. I think of you as our Rose Queen. Not just the title, but the way you carry it. You understand that you are representing something bigger than yourself - our school, our community and the values we represent. You take that responsibility seriously, and you do it with confidence and pride. I also think of the numerous times you have stood in church to read. This is not an easy thing to do - It takes composure. It takes respect for the moment. Yet, you don’t rush through it or treat it lightly. You take your time, you present yourself well, and you show that you understand the importance of what you are saying. There is a quiet consistency to the way you carry yourself. Whether we are in school, in church, or representing our community more widely, you show the same level of care and maturity. You think about how you present yourself and the importance of it. You take pride in doing things properly. You understand that your actions reflect not just on you, but on all of us. That is what stands out. It is not about one big moment, but rather the way you approach every moment. You don’t need reminding to do the right thing. You simply do it. And that is what service looks like. We are very proud of you. Well done.
